ABSTRACT: The benefits of early childhood education for local economic development are profound, impacting both individual and community prosperity. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs contribute to local economic development. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in parents' employability and income levels, (2) evaluate the role of educational programs in promoting economic activities, and (3) examine changes in community economic indicators. A survey design was chosen to systematically collect data from participants. A purposive sample of 100 parents with children aged 3-6 years, attending early childhood education centers, was selected from an education center in Enugu State. Findings revealed significant improvements in parents' employability and income levels, positive changes in economic activities promoted by educational programs, and enhanced community economic indicators. The study recommended integrating economic development themes into early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to effectively promote economic activities within the community.
